Santa Cruz, noviembre de 2025.- Tras más de siete meses de dedicación y aprendizaje colectivo, el proyecto Ra’yi Conciencia, impulsado por la Comunidad Juvenil Bolivia (CJB) con el apoyo de WWF-Bolivia y WWF Suiza, concluye su gestión 2025 con resultados concretos en la promoción del compostaje urbano y la gestión responsable de residuos orgánicos. 

Ra’yi Conciencia se llevó a cabo gracias al compromiso del Centro Cultural La Federal con su filosofía de cuidado del medio ambiente, presente en todos sus espacios, incluidos los restaurantes del centro: Santoku, especializado en cocina asiática; Buddha Bowls, enfocado en gastronomía vegana; y Colors Coffee. Tanto estos negocios como el Centro Cultural La Federal comparten una visión sostenible y un firme compromiso con la ecología. Su apoyo fue fundamental para el proyecto, aportando sus residuos orgánicos al sistema de compostaje implementado por Ra’yi Conciencia. 

En el transcurso de estos meses, se logró recolectar y compostar más de 500 kilogramos de materia orgánica, provenientes exclusivamente de estos dos restaurantes. Este esfuerzo no solo significó una contribución tangible a la reducción de residuos sólidos urbanos, sino también una oportunidad de aprendizaje para las y los voluntarios que participaron activamente en cada etapa del proceso. 

Además de las labores operativas, Ra’yi Conciencia se destacó por promover la educación ambiental mediante actividades participativas en el sistema de compostaje de La Federal. Los voluntarios no solo aplicaron lo aprendido, sino que también compartieron estos conocimientos con visitantes y grupos interesados en replicar el modelo. 

Entre las organizaciones que se acercaron para conocer más de esta práctica se encuentran el Centro Boliviano Americano (CBA), visitantes de la Feria Agroecológica, representantes de la Fundación Simón I. Patiño, el Museo Noel Kempff Mercado, guardaparques de la Fundación Kaa Iya, y la Asociación de Cocineras del Centro Turístico Espejillos, entre otros. 

Con la finalidad de agradecer el apoyo recibido, durante el evento de cierre, la Comunidad Juvenil Bolivia entregó certificados de reconocimiento a Viviana Ardaya, fundadora y administradora del Centro Cultural La Federal, así como a los restaurantes que aportaron con sus residuos organicos al sistema de compostaje. 

El evento también incluyó un momento de arte colectivo realizado por el voluntario Darwin Ortega, quien creó dos cuadros con la imagen de árboles. Los asistentes fueron invitados a dejar sus huellas en cada obra, como símbolo de su participación y compromiso ambiental. Las piezas finales fueron posteriormente entregadas a WWF-Bolivia y a La Federal, como agradecimiento y motivación para continuar fomentando acciones en favor del planeta. 

El cierre de esta gestión marca un hito en el camino hacia un modelo de ciudad más sostenible, donde la ciudadanía toma un rol activo en la transformación de sus hábitos. Ra’yi Conciencia reafirma el compromiso de la Comunidad Juvenil Bolivia con la acción climática desde lo local, conectando saberes, prácticas y personas que ya están cambiando el paisaje urbano.

Santa Cruz, November 2025— After more than seven months of dedication and collective learning, the Ra’yi Conciencia project—led by Comunidad Juvenil Bolivia (CJB) with the support of WWF-Bolivia and WWF Switzerland—concludes its 2025 cycle with concrete results in promoting urban composting and the responsible management of organic waste.

Ra’yi Conciencia was made possible thanks to the commitment of the Centro Cultural La Federal to its philosophy of environmental care, present in all its spaces, including the restaurants located within the center: Santoku, specializing in Asian cuisine; Buddha Bowls, focused on vegan gastronomy; and Colors Coffee. Both these businesses and the Centro Cultural La Federal share a sustainable vision and a strong commitment to ecology. Their support was fundamental to the project, contributing their organic waste to the composting system implemented by Ra’yi Conciencia.

Throughout these months, more than 500 kilograms of organic matter were collected and composted, coming exclusively from these restaurants. This effort not only represented a tangible contribution to reducing urban solid waste but also provided a valuable learning opportunity for the volunteers who actively participated in every stage of the process.

Beyond operational work, Ra’yi Conciencia stood out for promoting environmental education through participatory activities within La Federal’s composting system. Volunteers not only applied what they learned but also shared this knowledge with visitors and groups interested in replicating the model.

Among the organizations that visited to learn more about the practice were the Centro Boliviano Americano (CBA), attendees of the Agroecological Fair, representatives of the Fundación Simón I. Patiño, the Noel Kempff Mercado Museum, park rangers from the Kaa Iya Foundation, and the Association of Cooks from the Espejillos Tourist Center, among others.

To express gratitude for the support received, during the closing event Comunidad Juvenil Bolivia presented certificates of recognition to Viviana Ardaya, founder and director of the Centro Cultural La Federal, as well as to the restaurants that contributed their organic waste to the composting system.

The event also featured a moment of collective art led by volunteer Darwin Ortega, who created two paintings depicting trees. Attendees were invited to leave their fingerprints on each piece as a symbol of their participation and environmental commitment. The final artworks were later presented to WWF-Bolivia and La Federal as a gesture of appreciation and motivation to continue promoting actions in favor of the planet.

The end of this cycle marks a milestone on the path toward a more sustainable city, where citizens take an active role in transforming their habits. Ra’yi Conciencia reaffirms Comunidad Juvenil Bolivia’s commitment to climate action at the local level, connecting knowledge, practices, and people who are already reshaping the urban landscape.
